- Helpful in Jaundice: A powder of castor plant roots can be made and given to the patient with 250 ml milk. It cures jaundice. Alternatively, an 80 ml decoction of its root with 2 tablespoons of honey mixed in it can be given to the patient.
- Treatment for a Cough: A mixture of 3 gm extract of castor plant leaves, an equal quantity of castor oil, and jaggery can be given to the patient to cure the cough.
